Promote Industry Competition in Northwestern China
Using the location quotient method, we have analyzed 48 industries’ competition in Northwestern: the agriculture has no superiority, only the competitive advantage of the animal husbandry and crop is obvious. The industry superiority has very strong dependence with resource, but it is also at the initial stage. High-tech and the high added value’s equipment manufacturing is quite backward, as well as tertiary industry. In addition, only the primary industries like the coal, petroleum, ferrous metal and non-ferrous metal mining and processing in Northwestern has certain gathering, but has not formed the industrial clusters and the modular industry. Finally propose the promotion strategy of development characteristic industry and industry clusters.
