An Empirical Study on the Relationship Between Structure of Fiscal Fund for Agriculture and Farmers’Income——Based on Inter-provincial Panel Data

This paper, based on the empirical selection of Inter-provincial panel data in 30 provinces from 1985 to 2006, conducts an empirical study on the relationship between farmers’income and fiscal fund for agriculture from all country and regional perspectives. According to the result, structure of fiscal fund for agriculture exerts a profound impact on farmers’income and different programs of fiscal fund for agriculture play different roles in determining farmers’income increase. Fiscal fund used for the construction of basic infrastructure in rural areas has a greater influence on farmers’income while fund used for three projects fund for science and technology has a less influence on farmers’income increase. Structure of fiscal fund for agriculture has a more remarkable influence in central areas and comparatively less influence in western areas on farmers’income increase.
