Russia’s Energy Diplomacy and Its Influence on China

摘要：

Although China-Russia achieved great developments, Russo-Chinese energy trade relations are intertwined by complicated interest dispute. Russia takes advantage of Chinese thirst for its energy, delayed pipeline constructions, did not fulfill settled agreements, and violated its energy engagements with China. In essence, China is being utilized so that Russia can consolidate its superiority in Europe’s energy market. China, for its part, is anxious about supply interruptions or reductions from Russia, try its best to overcome over-reliance on Russia. The aim of the current study is to investigate the Russia’s energy diplomacy and its influence on china, summarize china’s corresponding countermeasures.
