The Reflection on China’s Deficiency in Pricing Power in Iron Ore Negotiation
Although China is the world’s largest importer of iron ore, it is hard to get the pricing power priority in the process of price negotiation between China and three major suppliers of iron ore. Based on the reasons of deficiency in pricing power and the analysis of the model of oligopoly, some measures are put forward in this paper, such as increasing industry concentration;improving the utilization ratio of scrap steel;implementing strategies of “going out and import diversifying and so on.
