A Research About Dynamic Effect of Technological Progress to Employment in China

摘要：

This paper re-estimates the rate of technological progress from 1980 to 2007 with implicit variables method, then it analyses the dynamic effects of technological progress to employment with VAR model. The result shows that technological progress has a significant negative effect to employment in short term, that is to say, it will lead to employment reduction;but in long term, technological progress is positive to employment, which can significantly increase the employment rate.
