HIGHLY DISPERSED and THERMALLY STABLE NOBLE METAL CATALYSTS for LOW-TEMPERAURE CO OXIDATION
Introduction Supported noble metal catalysts are widely used in environmental catalysis. In such kind of catalysts, noble metals are generally finely dispersed on a high-surface-area support for the efficient use of catalytically active components. On the other hand, finely dispersed nanoparticles are not stable and prone to aggregate into large particles under high-temperature operations, leading to the deactivation of catalysts. Therefore, design and fabrication of highly dispersed yet thermally stable noble metal catalysts is a very important topic for environmental catalysis. In this presentation, I will summarize our recent achievements in the preparation of sintering-resistant gold and platinum catalysts for low-temperature CO oxidation.
