Influence of sulfation on the iron titanate catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3
Introduction In our previous study, we reported a novel iron titanate catalyst (FeTiOx) showing excellent activity and N2 selectivity for the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO with NH3 in the medium temperature range, which is a potential candidate in the DeNOx process for diesel engines 1,2. It is well known that the typical diesel exhausts usually contain a small amount of SO2 at ppm level derived from combustion of S-containing fuels. In this study, we fully investigated the influence of sulfation on the structure, SCR activity and reaction mechanism on the FeTiOx catalyst, which is helpful for the understanding of its deactivation mechanism and further improvement of its SO2 durability.
