Catalytic Activity and Recycle Use of Supported Amorphous Co-B Catalysts in Hydroformylation of 1-Octene
Introduction The hydroformylation of olefins with syngas to aldehydes has been an important industrial chemical process, which annually produces 7 million tons of aldehydes. Applying immobilized catalysts or solid catalysts to the hydroformylation of olefins is a very meaningful work for the heterogenization of homogeneous catalytic processes. Metal-metalloid amorphous alloy catalysts have shown high activity and selectivity in some hydrogenation processes. In our early research, we found that the pure amorphous Co-B catalyst exhibited relatively high activity in the hydroformylation of 1-octene. In this work, we employed several supported amorphous Co-B catalysts in octene hydroformylation, and studied their catalytic performance and recycle use.
