Different valence ions-doped cerium oxides for soot combustion
Introduction Ceria-based materials have been the subject of numerous investigations in recent years because of their very broad range of applications in catalysis and in advanced environmental materials. The redox and catalytic properties of CeO2 are strongly influenced when it is combined with other transition metals or rare earth oxides. However, few detailed researches of these materials were carried out for soot oxidation. In this work, nanometric CeO2 catalysts doped with different valence ions have been prepared and tested for soot combustion.
