Comparative study of 3DOM Ce-based materials on the preparation, characterization and catalytic performances for the combustion of diesel soot
Introduction Ceria-based materials have been intensively investigated as soot oxidation catalysts due to their good redox properties and considerable thermal stability. Three-dimensionally ordered macroporous (3DOM) Ce-Zr-O solid solutions exhibit better activities for soot combustion than corresponding disordered macroporous ones because of the effective contact between soot and catalysts. However, there are few reports on the hydrothermal and thermal stability of 3DOM Ce-based materials. Thus, in this study, the thermal and hydrothermal stabilities of 3DOM CeO2, Ce-Zr-O and Ce-Zr-Pr-O solid solutions were investigated.
