Moisture Effect on the Pretreatment of Au/γAl2O3 Catalyst for CO Oxidation

Introduction Many studies 1~4 have demonstrated that the moisture enhanced CO conversion over supported Au catalysts and the hydroxyl ligand plays a vital role in the reaction mechanism and regeneration. In this study, the moisture effect was found existent in the pretreatment of Au/γ-Al2O3 catalyst for CO oxidation. And in situ FT-IR was used to elucidate the difference of reactive route between the catalyst pretreated with moisture or not.
