THE ADSORPTION FEATURE AND PHOTOCATALYTIC OXIDATION ACTIVITY OF MxTiNbO5 (M=K, Mn, Ni) FOR MERCAPTAN IN METHANE
Introduction Hydrocarbon, such as natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, gasoline and other light alkanes, which are used as fuel, usually contain sulphides. Their oxidation leads to the formation of SO2, which eventually causes the atmosphere pollution. The gas-phase photocatalytic oxidation of organic sulfur as an advanced technology has become an intensively studied due to mild reaction conditions and simple process. Titanoniobates have the perfect layered structure and recently they have been at focus of photocatalysis researchers due to their distinctive photochemical and semiconductor properties.
