Design of Nanocrystalline Ceria Based Mixed Oxide for Knoevenagel Condensation Reaction
Introduction : Since the first synthesis of MCM-41, the most famous member of the M41S family of silicate mesoporous materials reported by Mobil in 1992 the ordered mesoporous structures have attracted a great deal of attention. The mesoporous materials are attractive candidates as catalyst, catalyst supports, adsorbent and host materials for nanocomposites. As a typical kind of rare earth oxide, ceria (CeO2) has been extensively used as an active component in three-way catalysis (TWCs). Modification of ceria is a key issue in the development of efficient catalyst formulations for treatment of auto exhaust processes and other applications.
