FACILE AND FAST PREPARATION OF PdO/HZSM-5 CATALYST FOR METHANE COMBUSTION
Introduction The catalytic methane combustion has received considerable attention recently because of its practical applications in both power generation and pollutant abatement. The supported palladium catalyst has been found to be the most active catalyst for methane combustion. The use of zeolite as the support can lead to a better low temperature activity, compared to the supporting materials like alumina and ZrO2. The organic template performs as very important structure-directing agent for the syntheses of various zeolites. The removal of the template is quite often carried out by thermal calcinations. After template removal, the preparation of PdO/HZSM-5 includes the following steps: incipient wetness impregnation, drying, thermal calcination. It is a very complicated process. In this work, we attempt to find a new method to simplify the preparation of PdO/HZSM-5 catalyst.
