The Impact Analysis of Regional Technology and R&D to Local Choice of FDI
Since Deng Xiaoping took his southern tour speech,Chinas foreign direct investment (FDI) continued to increase,and has become an important engine of economic growth.At the same time,FDI has a problem in non-equilibrium distribution among regions,which triggered a series of deep-seated problems.This article empirically explores the location choice of FDI in China,in order to confirm the reason of the non-equilibrium distribution of FDI.The results show that:while the impact of the traditional factors reduced,the R&D capability can increase the FDI,and the impact of regional technological level on FDI has dual structure characteristics. Accordingly,we should take effective measures to promote the regional R&D capability and improve the technological structure,in order to increase the efficiency of FDI.We believe FDI will play a full role in the development of Chinas economic and the building of a harmonious society.
