Surface Reconstruction Based on Adaptive Cell Decomposition of Point Cloud Data
Radial basis function for point cloud data interPolation and fitting has the advantages of accuracy and stability, but it is not suitable for surface reconstruction of large-scale point set. In this phper, adaptive cell decomposition combined with radial basis function was used for Implicit Surface fast reconstruction of large point cloud data. First of all, the point cloud data was broken down adaptively into a series of slightly overlapping sub-domains, then use the radial basis function for calculating the local surface of each sub-domain. Finally, we obtain the global reconstructed surface by weighted mixed the local surface in use of cell decomposition function. The results show the method is suitable to handle the point cloud data reconstruction which the point is larger and distribution of density is greater, having fast speed and high precision.
