Background: Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) can detect the water molecule diffusion, which represents the microstructural integrity of white matter in the brain. This study was to explore whether the deterioration of anterior part of the cerebrum is also more prominent in normal and abnormal ageing (e. g. Alzheimer disease, AD).
