Cell adhesion mediated by β2 integrin-ICAM-1 interactions

摘要：

During the inflammatory responses, leukocytes are recruited at the site of high endothelial venule, roll over the endothelium surface, form the firm adhesion to spread out, and finally transmigrate across the blood vessel to the inflammatory site. Similar cascade is also found in tumor metastasis where tumor cells (TC) interact with leukocytes and endothelial cells (Ecs) under blood flow.
