Construction of microenvironmental biointerfaces
Biomaterial acts as artificial extracellular matrix for providing a provisional three-dimensional (3D) microenvironments to interact biophysically and/or biochemically with cells to regulate cell behaviors, such as cell adhesion, migration, proliferation and differentiation. The development of biomaterials is essentially important for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. Biomaterial spatially and temporally regulates complex cellular process of tissue formation, function and regeneration. However, the tissue formation and regeneration is a complex dynamics process, spatial and temporal coordination of numerous cells fates.
