Mixed Model Based on the Theory of Incentives About Agricultural Supply Chain

Both of farmers and agricultural products processing enterprises play important roles in the agricultural supply chain. They have their own interests. However, their interests often conflict. So it is extremely important how to correspond their responsibilities and rights. The theory of incentives is an effective technique to study the relationship between the principal and the agent. In this paper, the theory of incentives was used to explore their relationship in real environment (moral hazard followed by adverse selection),then the mixed model was established. The conclusion shows that the principals focus on screening the agents type and operational efficiency should be changed according to the influence of the adverse selection and moral hazard. If there is not discriminable treatment for information, the enterprises cost would be bound to rise with lower benefit, and more the efficiency of the agricultural supply chain would be minimal. The paper introduces the method how to give appropriate costs with different informations.
