THE PHENOMENON OF BORN GLOBAL IN COLOMBIA VS ECUADOR

Born Globals are organizations obtaining competitive advantages in international markets from beginning, by using resources from international origin and/or selling their products to multiples countries. The objective of this research is to determine the factors influencing significantly, in the creation of Born Globals in Colombia and Ecuador, using the data base Global Entrepreneurship Monitor. Some assumptions from the view point of Born Global literature and the methodology used in this study is exposed, just like results and conclusions derived from this investigation. Results suggest that the characteristics of born global in both countries are similar, while factors influencing in this phenomenon differ between them.
