Electrosorption technology is a new desalination technology which widely used in municipal sewage, industrial wastewater reuse, drinking water treatment and brackish water desalination, etc. Electrosorption technology has unique advantage in flexibility, energy consumption, operation and maintenance and environmental friendly. This paper briefly reviewed the application of electrosorption technology to electric power, metallurgy, petroleum and chemical industry, etc.`
