Preparation and Performance of PVDF/PES/CA Blend Membrane
The membranes were prepared by the phase inversion method from 9 ∶ 1 polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)/polyethersulfone (PES) blend with different cellulose acetate (CA) content, where LiCl was used as pore forming agent. Membrane preparation conditions, i.e. CA content, preevaporation time, and coagulation bath temperature were studied to show their influence on the characteristics and performance of PVDF/PES/CA blend membranes. The membrane performance was evaluated by pure water flux, retention to bovine serum albumin (BSA), shrinkage ratio, and porosity ratio.
