Hydrolysis Degradation Behavior of Biodegradable Poly (butylene succinate-co-terephthalate) Fibers
The hydrolysis degradation of poly (butylene succinate-co-terephthalate) (PBST) fibers was studied at hydrolysis temperatures of 30 and 80℃. The thermal, tensile properties and morphology of PBST fibers before and after hydrolysis degradation were systematically analyzed by means of differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), electronic single yarn strength tester, and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The hydrolysis behavior was found to strongly depend on the overall impacts of hydrolysis temperature and hydrolysis time.
