Preparation and Electromagnetic Properties of Multi-Wall Carbon Nanotubes/Carbon Black/Polyvinyl Alcohol Hybrid Fibers
In present work, modified multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs)/conductive carbon black (CB)/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) hybrid fibers were prepared by wet-spinning process. The composite spinning solutions were also made into hybrid films. The dispersions of MWCNTs/CB in PVA solutions were discussed. The inorganic nanoparticles could well and uniformly disperse into PVA solution by ultrasonic method with mechanical stirring. The electromagnetic properties of the inorganic powders, such as MWCNTs, carbon black and helical carbon nanotubes (HCNTs), were characterized by coaxial ring method. The electromagnetic absorbing properties of the hybrid fibers were measured by arch reflection method in a microwave anechoic chamber. The hybrid fibers with the excellent electromagnetic absorbing capabilities may have great potential applications in the biosensor devices or bio-medical fields in the future.
