Preparation of Quick-dissolving Ferulic Acid-loaded PVP Nanofiber Membrane through Electrospinning

Ferulic acid (FA)-loaded polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP K30) nanofiber membrane was prepared using electrospinning. Electrospinning conditions were confirmed by polarizing microscope. Morphology and structure of the nanofiber membrane was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy. Distribution status of Ferulic acid was observed by X-ray diffraction. The interaction between FA and PVP was analyzed by FT-IR. Results indicated that well-distributed and smooth fiber can be spun with a FA-to-PVP ratio of 1,8 (w/w). FA had good compatibility with PVP, and which was well distributed in the ultrafine fibers as an amorphous physical form.
