How Yarn Types Influence Fatigue Behaviors of Stent-graft
This study focused on how yarn types influence the fatigue behaviours of Stent-graft. The samples endured repeat pulsatile force by an accelerated fatigue resistance tester for endovascular prostheses. This tester provides a pulsatile flow, as well as similar blood environment which is close to the physiological conditions of arteries in vivo. It maintains the temperature of fluid at 37 ± 1℃ and ph 7.4. The fatigue performances of sample are evaluated by integral water permeability of stent-graft and the changes of woven fabric count. Besides it analyzed the relationship of integral water permeability between graft-fabric and stent-graft. The results showed that samples with warp monofilament yarns fatigued more readily than those with multifilament yarns. The samples with multifilament yarns demonstrated different fatigue behaviours with increasing time and the tiny change of integral water permeability.
