Design of Braking Capability Testing System for Daqin Heavy Haul Freight Train

The dynamic examination of brake power is regarded as an effective way for analyzing the cause of wheel lock failure in heavy haul railway. In this paper, a distributed pressure sampling system is designed for recording and analyzing the brake force variation of Daqin heavy haul freight train. A time synchronization scheme based on PPS(pulse per second) signal of GPS and software timer is introduced, which can provides time synchronization of millisecond. The experiment results on Daqin railway proves that it is a successful design for analyzing the transfer rule of brake power.
