Study on Physical Activity Energy Consumption Meter Based on MEMS Accelerometer

In this paper, a physical activity energy consumption meter is designed based on MXC6202 accelerometer. Based on the experiment, the regression model between acceleration counts and MET(MetaboIic Equivalent of Energy) is established respectively by using linear function, quadratic function or Gaussian function. Comparing with residual sum of squares(RSSQ), correlation coefficient(R) and maximum relative error of three models, the quadratic function is took as the optimal regression model. The results of modal analysis reveal that there is less than 10% difference of the analytical value and the measured value.
