Capacity Comparsion of Multi-antenna Quasi Orthogonal Space-time Code System

In this paper, we give SNR formula for two transmit antennas orthogonal space-time block codes (STBC) and four antennas quasi-STBC (QSTBC), respectively. An expression of instantaneous signal-to-noise rate (SNR) for Eight transmit antennas QSTBC is derived. We give their capacity comparison by using Monte Carlo simulation. The results show that the channel capacity is improved with increasing the number of transmit antenna in full rate QSTBC system. With increasing number of receiving antenna channel capacity can be obviously improved for QSTBC system.
