Dynamic Calibrating Method for Non-Uniform of Multiple-lane Traffic Flow Parameter
The convention methods for calibrating non-uniform of multiple-lane traffic flow parameter are difficult and complex because of so many factors leading to non-uniform in a multiple-lane traffic system. Based on analyzing multiple-lane traffic flow characteristic, a novel calibration method for multiple-lane traffic flow parameter using wavelet analysis was proposed. The calibration coefficient was constructed using wavelet transform for calibrating the multiple-lane traffic flow captured by different lane device after analyzing the characteristic discrimination of different lane traffic flow. The dynamic calibration efficiency of different wavelet was also discussed in the real-time multiple-lane traffic flow parameter calibration processing. The result indicated that the correlation value of different traffic flow information of the same lane captured by different lane device was 0.997S after the calibration. Symlet3 wavelet was more effective than other wavelets both in the twolane calibration and multiple-lane calibration. And also it indicated that Symlet serial wavelets were more effective in calibrating the non-uniform of multiple-lane traffic flow parameter than other types of wavelet This method provided an effective way for on-line calibrating multiple-lane traffic flow parameter in practical application.
