Research of Model Parameter Identification ITD Method Based on Velocity Response Signals

Based on the background of a big tower structure under environment random excitation, an ITD method based on the velocity response signal is presented in this paper. Firstly, by using the random decrement technique (RDT), the velocity free response signals are separated from those velocity random responses. Secondly, it is deduced an ITD method based on the velocity response signals and then take it used on a big tower structure. In the method, there have no need to integrate velocity signals to displacement signals, but identify model parameters from the velocity response signals directly, so the integral error can be avoided. Comparing the results from this method with those from traditional ITD method which based on displacement response and peak-picking (P-P) method, it is shown that the former is effective.
