Rang-gated Laser Active Imaging Technology
Range-gated technology is adopted to solve the problem of retro reflection that seriously inflect the quality and range of imaging in laser active imaging system. By precisely synchronizing both the illuminator and the camera shutter, it is possible to obtain a slice of scene at specific known distances. The paper points out the research direction in the future about the system as well as its development trend on the basis of detailing the principle of range-gated technology and analyzing the development status of the active imaging systems.
