Design of MCCB Terminal State Monitoring Platform Based on Technology of Power Line Communication

In this paper, the on-line monitoring platform of the terminal state of mould case circuit breaker (MCCB) based on LonWorks power line communication technology is discussed. Data acquisition module is designed through utilizing PL3120 intelligent power line transceiver. The state parameters of MCCB terminals can be uploaded to monitoring computer by using the mode of power line communication. Experiment results show that the state parameters of MCCB terminals are recorded accurately. By this means, on-line inspection of terminal state and failure diagnosis are achieved.
