Modeling and Simulation of Radar Correlated Terrain Clutter
A simulation method of correlated non-Gaussian radar clutter is presented in this paper. Radar clutter amplitude distribution and spectrum characteristic is investigated first. Appropriate simulation model to characterize radar clutter behavior is presented based on practically measured clutter data using zero memory nonlinearity method. Simulation results show that this method is effective and reliable. The obtained data can be used directly in simulation of radar correlative clutter as well as design of radar systems.
