Numerical Simulation about Rarefaction Wave Velocity and Travel about Rarefaction Wave Gun with Two-door Breech

The rarefaction wave gun ( RAVEN ) can achieve much low recoil momentum without decreasing the muzzle velocity of the projectile by means of advanced opening breechblock while projectile traveling special location in barrel. Base on the working principle of RAVEN, and aiming at the two major different breechblock opening mode, the modeling and simulation of redesigned newly two-door breechblock is researched, the velocity and travel of rarefaction wave is calculated. Finally the optimum breechblock opening time is obtained.
