Design of Controller for High-power Sensor-less Brushless DC Motor Based on DSP

The design of a control system for high-power sensorless brushless DC motor is presented in the paper. The system is based on TI TMS320LF2407A DSP chip. The Back-EMF method is used for the rotor position detection. The key techniques of the control system in the case of high power is discussed in detail, which include MOSFET driver circuit, current protection, rotor position detection. And the diode freewheeling in the inactive phase is eliminated.
