Repair and Overhaul Methodology for Worn or Damaged Turbine Components
Increasingly many companies are interested in remanufacturing used components for environmental and economic reasons.This paper reviews the research on the solutions for remanufacturing worn turbine components.It presents the entire process of blade repair.and emphasizes how to repair the blade tip.The trends in modern repair systems are integration, adaptivity and automatization.Most systems incorporate some of these characteristics.and reverse engineering application for the sudace reconstruction of worn blade is popular.However,due to the limitation and manual operation,it has still been lack of an appropriate approach for reconstructing the surfaces of a blade tip.As a result of this study,future research directions are highlighted.
