Business Model Life Cycle Evaluation：Two Successful Case Studies in the Machine Tool Sector
Service-oriented business models are regarded as one of the main competitive priority for European machine builders to cope with the growth of Asiatic competitors and the economic crisis.Nevertheless， only few companies successfully innovated their business model，mainly because of the general incapacity to evaluate their economical impacts and opportunities over the life cycle.In this paper，we report two case studies of machine tool companies having successfully adopted an innovative life cycle methodology at business model level to assess the potential revenues and risks of new business models they are aiming to implement.
