The multi-scale simulation of the interaction between cosmic heavy ion ray and DNA molecule
The mechanism of the damages of cosmic ray to DNA molecules is important for the understanding and evaluating of healthy risks in manned interplanetary tasks. This paper presents the idea of multiple scale simulation of the interaction between cosmic heavy ion rays and DNA molecules. The complex process is divided into different blocks both spatially and temporally. According to physical nature, some state-of-art simulation methods are employed to reconstruct the real-time details in each spatial domains and time windows. Our aim is to set up a realizable modeling method to deal with the interaction between galactic cosmic radiation and bio-molecules in biophysical environments on time scales from 10-22 to 10as, which includes nuclear reaction, chemical reaction and molecular structure changes.
