Simulations of Shallow Water Equations by Lax-Wendroff Weighted Essential Non-oscillatory Schemes

In this paper we study a Lax-Wen&off-type time discretization procedure for the finite difference weighted essential nen-oseillatory (WENO) schemes to solve one-dimensienal shallow water equations with source terms. Extensive simulations are performed, as a result, the WENO schemes with Lax-Wendroff-type time diseretization can maintain nonoscillatory properties and more cost effective than that with Runge-Kutta time discretization.
