High Power Supercontinuum Generation in PCF Using a Continuous-wave Raman Fiber Laser

In this letter, high power supercontinuum generation in PCF is demonstrated by using a continuous-wave Raman fiber laser. By lunching 1495nm continuous-wave pump into 70m nonlinear PCF, continuum with wavelength range from 1450nm to 1650nm is achieved, covering the whole communication windows. The output power is as high as 2W when the pump is set as 4.14W.
