LD-pumped actively Q-switched efficient and compact intracavity-frequency Nd:YVO4/LBO green laser

A compact and efficient diode-pumped intracavityfrequency Nd:YVO4/LBO green laser is demonstrated with a flat-flat cavity design. A maximum average output power of 4.05 W at 532 nm was obtained at pulse-repetition frequency of 1 kHz, corresponding to an optical conversion efficiency of 38.6%. At the incident pump power of 10.5 W, the shortest laser pulse is 12.5 ns at 1 kHz. The influence factors on the Q-switched Nd:YVO4/LBO green laser have been discussed.
