The In-Plane Vibration of Highline Cable of Alongside Replenishment System Subjected to External Excitation
A model formulation for in-plane vibration of highline cable of alongside replenishment system was developed by Hamilton principle, which considered the effect of the concentrated mass, the support motion and the axial deformation of highline cable. The partial differential equation was discretized into system of ordinary differential equations(ODE) by Galerkin method, the ODE was asymptotically analyzed by multi-scale approach with ignore the influence of high order models. The results show that the factors which influence the dynamic behavior of highline cable in-plane vibration include the external excitation by the support motion, the position of concentrated mass on highline cable and the length of highline cable.
