Sweet spot: experience is the farther of wisdom makes your hit worth
According to the theory that when the hitting spot makes the quadratic sum of the intrinsic vibration amplitude minimal, the vibration state of the bat become the weakest in playing base-baU. This paper establishes a differential equation model on bat’s transverse vibration, solves the intrinsic vibration of the bat on condition of the homogenous boundary of the two bat’s two ends. Then we calculate the sweet spot taking advantage of the relationship between the quadratic sum of the Bk and the hitting point. The solution can be expressed as u = Bk sin(kπx/l)sin(k2π2at/l2). Then discussed that why the corking of the bat will contribute to the bat’s vibration amplitude appearing damping and how the different materials of the bat influence the sweet spot.
