An Improvement on WL_Algorithm on the Surfaces of a Polygon
Texture synthesis on curving surfaces from samples has attracted the attention of many researchers recently. Especially, how to synthesize seamless textures on the surfaces of a polygon with no distortion is a hotspot. The texture synthesis algorithm put forth by Wei and Levoy is one of the popular algorithms, which however has some disadvantages such as its complexity in implementation, low synthesizing quality for some kinds of textures, etc. An improvement is made on Wei-Levoy algorithm to synthesize seamless textures on the surfaces of a polygon with minimal distortion.
