Object-Oriented Road Detection from Google Earth Imagery

摘要：

Main roads were detected using an object-oriented method from Google Earth imagery, and compared with the QuickBird image of the same area and the same capture time. Both kinds of images extract roughly the same region of main road, and also similar image segmentation parameters and establishment of the classification rule sets. Experimental results show that using Google Earth images to extract road could meet applications of less demanding precision.
