Knowledge as Core Competence, Knowledge Management and a Top Management Team from a Dynamic Perspective

This study sheds light on the relationship between knowledge management (KM) and top management team (TMT) theory. There are two aspects of this study. First, the traditional research paradigm of TMT primarily focused on the relationship between the characteristics of TMT and organizational outcomes, ignoring the factors of dynamic knowledge and its internal and external interactions. Second, the decision making process would be more appropriate with a suited KM model contributing to the core competitiveness of enterprises. Most Chinese enterprises are facing the same problem from industrial enterprises into knowledge-based enterprises in the context of the economic transformation. Inspired by the upper echelons, core competence and knowledge management strategy (KMS) theory, this paper supposes a model to analyze the interactions and situation in dynamic environment.
