An Improved Snake Model for Contour Detection in IVUS Sequential Images
In order to achieve the edge extraction of the intravascular ultrasound sequential image, an improved active contour model is proposed. An improved similarity measure function is applied to the active contour model by analyzing the external energy function of the traditional active contour model and combining it with characteristics of ultrasound sequential images. Experimental results show the accuracy of the proposed method is better than the traditional in obtaining contour points, and finally better blood vessel edges are obtained.
