A Method of Product Style Design With The Amalgamation of Folk Culture

摘要：

It is analyzed that the necessities and significance of the amalgamation of folk culture into product design. A method of product design has been proposed based on amalgamation of folk culture. Focusing on choosing the theme of folk culture and finding the natural link .to folk culture and product, the design flow was given as “Establishing cultural theme identifying characteristics of folk cultural elements - Imitation or innovation design, then a product embodying folk culture can be obtained. A chair was designed to illustrate the method.
